About Us
As the saying goes, “Necessity is the mother of invention.” That’s exactly how Bibit Baby was born... out of the need
for a bib that truly stays put and keeps baby clean. After searching countless baby stores, catalogs and websites, I
decided to create a bib that would make things easier for me... as well as the challenges posed by my incredibly messy
sons! That’s how Bibit began. Bibit is a patented baby bib that secures uniquely around your child’s neck as well as
around his middle with side “wings”. I quickly realized that the Bibit was not only perfect for meals, but also worked
perfectly when my boys were constantly teething and drooling. There’s nothing more frustrating than changing baby’s
outfit countless times because it’s wet and soiled. Bibit solves that problem and saves time spent on laundry and
frequent changes. Bibit is also practical and comfortable for babies who are crawling as it stays put around the middle
and will not flap in front of baby’s face.
Bibit is an excellent value and will become your preferred bib... a mainstay in baby’s wardrobe. Its ample side “wings” and neck boast generous velcro fasteners which allow for size adjustability and room for baby to grow. Dawn Giakas founded Bibit Baby, LLC in February 2005 and launched Bibit later that year in November. Dawn lives in New Jersey with her 2 sons, while working full time as an administrator for a community hospital system. Bibit truly is a family creation. The idea for Bibit was inspired by her sons, the adorable Bibit logo was designed by her mom, Eileen, and the name was coined by her dear friend, Jim.
